Kindergarteners must be five years old on or before September 1, 2016. You may file for early entry if your child will be five after September 1, but before December 1, 2016. Young Fives is designed for students turning five between July 1 and September 1, 2016, but who require more time before entering kindergarten. We're officially on our way to a brand new school year. We wish everyone a successful and fulfilling year.
Voters across Wayne County will decide on a 2.0-mill proposal that would bring approximately $5.6 million to Livonia Public Schools, if passed.
Four of the seven seats on the Livonia Public Schools school board are up for general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbents Tamara Bonifield and Daniel Centers filed for re-election, while fellow board members Dianne Laura and Eileen McDonnell opted against seeking new terms. Bonifield and Centers are joined on the ballot by challengers Jason Anderson, Kylee Anderson, Karen Bradford, Crystal Frank, Donald Glance, and Jody Rice-White.
The summer months were very busy and exciting for Livonia Public Schools! Phase III of the Bond Issue saw necessary updates made at Grant, Hoover, Randolph, and Johnson Elementaries, as well as Emerson Middle School. Some of the improvements include:
